🎉 Anadarko Public Schools Celebrates Outstanding Staff 💜💛
Anadarko Public Schools held a special ceremony to recognize the incredible dedication and service of our staff members on Friday, March 13, 2026.
During the event, we proudly honored our Site Teachers of the Year and announced the District Teacher of the Year, recognizing educators who go above and beyond each day to support and inspire our students. Sunset’s TOY is Ashely Stroud, East’s TOY is Blain Perry, Mission’s TOY is Brooke Laurenzana, AMS’s TOY is Mike Millard and AHS’s TOY is Jacquelyn Smith. The District TOY is Brooke Laurenzana.
We also presented the BRICK Awards to our Site Support Person of the Year, celebrating the staff members whose hard work and commitment help keep our schools running strong. The BRICK winners were Casey Gordon, Sunset, Katelyn Erwin, East, Josh Worcester, Mission, Mikala Gouge, AMS and Cedric Sanchez, AHS, and Siearra Jackson, district.
In addition, we took time to recognize our retirees for their years of dedication to Anadarko Public Schools. Their impact on our students, schools, and community will be felt for years to come. Retirees (pictured) are Annette Ware, Carla Chenoweth, Leah Bauman, Christy Schumpert, Kerry Hutchinson and Mary Smith.
Staff members were also honored for their years of service, with recognitions given in 5-year increments, celebrating the loyalty and commitment of those who continue to make Anadarko Public Schools a great place for students to learn and grow. Daniel Pittman and Dezery Mucker received 10 year service pins as district employees.

Trinity Geikaunmah and Addy Thrash are competing in the Consolation Championship Rounds.
Lyndi Cisco is heading back to the State Championship Finals tonight as she looks to 3-peat as State Champion!
🏀 Class 3A Regional Basketball
🕝 The boys will take on Silo at 2:30 PM for the Consolation Championship and a ticket to Area.
🕕 The girls will face Silo at 6:00 PM for the Regional Championship.
📍 Games will be played in Tishomingo.
📻 Both games will be aired on New Country 98.5 and can also be streamed on iHeartRadio.

Anadarko Public Schools would like to inform our families that we will soon be sending home Parent Consent Forms for students to participate in Project Respect through the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE).
Project Respect includes an Early Identification Screener designed to help our district identify students who may be experiencing challenges related to mental health so we can provide early support and resources when needed.
Here’s what parents need to know:
✔ Grades K–4: Teachers will complete the screener for students on March 13th.
✔ Grades 5–12: Students will receive a screener link through their school email after we return from Spring Break.
✔ Participation is completely voluntary. A signed parent consent form is required.
✔ Parents may review all screener questions in this post or on the district website before making a decision.
We are proud to share that our district received this grant, which is providing a full-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to serve our students and families. This additional support strengthens our commitment to student well-being and academic success.
If you have questions, please contact your child’s school site. Thank you for partnering with us to support the whole child. 💜💛
There will be no school for students, and district offices will be closed for the day. Classes will resume on Tuesday.
