Message from the Principal

In our quest for excellence in education, we continue to make improvements in our school. We have successfully completed alignment in Reading, Math, Social Studies, Writing, and Science. We have interventions for students not mastering their standards at each grade level. We use summative and formative assessments as benchmarks for our district. These measurements help guide our instruction. Mission Elementary School Improvement Team has worked hard to complete a Pyramid of Intervention both in the areas of academics and behavior. We continue to obtain G.E. Model School, which shows our staffs commitment in providing a positive learning environment.

At Mission Elementary, we have great expectations for our students to think, learn, and live excellence. We believe that all children are unique and can learn provided with a safe and orderly environment. This requires the cooperation of the community and educational staff. We also believe that each child in our school can effectively be reached toincite learning. Once learning is stimulated, the child can progress into a motivated, well adjusted, positively functioning adult, achieving to the best of his or her ability.

In order to achieve success, parental support is essential. We are proud of the relationships we have formed with our students’ parents and the community. The future success of the students at Mission Elementary is reliant upon each of us.
